Synopsis of LYME WARS

- A Love Story -

LYME WARS - A Love Story explores the personal and psychological challenges of having tick-borne diseases.  Surrounded by an idyllic setting of life on Maryland's Eastern Shore, David and Francesca meet at Salisbury University, where he is star of the University basketball team, and she the star of the University dance troupe. Their mutual dedication to music, dance and the great outdoors solidifies love for this healthy, happy young couple.

Their dreams of professional careers and the success of their relationship are soon tested by having to deal with tick-borne illnesses, in an atmosphere of suspicion and denial by the medical community and insurance industry.

They discover that Lyme disease, and other tick-borne co-infections are putting many residents of the nation in the same devastating circumstances of going months or years without adequate diagnosis and treatment. Discover how they overcome their confrontation with the medical community to conquer tick-borne diseases.
